School is out. Graduation has come and gone again. Vacations begin! THE-CIA.net would like to wish you a fun, safe, and exciting summer ahead!

Virus concerns.
With all the viruses circulating, it is important to have anti-virus software running on your system. More importantly is that you update your virus definitions and scan your system regularly. There are many on the market. The two most popular are Norton Anti-Virus and McAfee Virus. These two companies offer free virus definition updates from their website once you have purchased and registered their product.

Trouble logging in?
There are several things that you can do.
1. Confirm your username and password in your "Connect To" window.
2. Make sure your Caps Lock is not on. Also, be sure you haven't typed any spaces.
3. Check the phone number you are dialing to insure that you are dialing the correct number for your area.
4. Consider whether your account is current. (Our automated accounting system will deactivate your account 5 days past the due date on your invoice.)
5. Restart your computer. Dial-Up Networking may need to be reset.*
6. Try connecting directly from the Dial-Up Networking window. Double-click My Computer, double-click Dial-Up Networking, double-click pm THE-CIA icon.
7. Pay very close attention to the error message you are receiving. Most of the time it tells you more than it seems.
If at this point, you are still not logging in, give us a ring. We will be able to help you diagnose your problem. Don't hesitate to call!

*Is is time to restart your computer?
If you are having trouble connecting, the first rule of thumb is to restart your computer. Microsoft Dial-Up Networking has a tendency to need to be reset. Restarting your computer is the best way to accomplish that. So, the next time you have trouble connecting, please restart your computer.
